New provisions for entry into Tanzania

Entry to Tanzania for all those wishing to visit the country is now completely free. Faced with an almost total absence of cases, the Government has decided to welcome arriving tourists for safaris, trekking and other activities without any restrictions.
While continuing to maintain a high standard linked to precautionary measures that can prevent a new spread of Covid-19, the authorities no longer require visitors to carry out any tests before arriving in Tanzania. At airports, however, it is possible to be subject to controls, especially on the temperature and general health situation.
Similarly, some airlines arriving from Europe do not require a pre-flight test, but reserve the right to assess the passengers’ state of health if they exhibit symptoms attributable to Covid-19, preventing them from boarding.
In the unfortunate event that a visitor develops the symptoms of Covid-19 after his arrival in Tanzania, he can contact the guides who will isolate him and transport him to the appropriate facilities to welcome and treat him while waiting to be repatriated. All over the territory, but especially in the tourist areas, hospital departments dedicated to the reception of Covid patients have been prepared, with specialized personnel able to manage this type of emergency.
