Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Udzungwa Mountains National Park designated just in 1992, this park boasts an incredible biodiversity: for thousands of years, the evolution of so many species could benefit from its geographical remoteness.

These mountains have steep slopes and are covered by miombo woodlands and dense vegetation.

Almost 10 species of primates inhabit the park; four of these are endemic, e.g. the Iringa red colobus.
